Testimonials

Mikha Gabechava

Head Scout at FC Dinamo Tbilisi

Analytical | Creative | Productive

During the 6-month data analysis & performance internship at Dinamo Tbilisi, Buyang was undoubtedly one of the most active and productive interns. He demonstrated excellent analytical skills and understanding of different metrics. Buyang knows how to present his findings in a simple way, allowing our coaches and performance analysts to interpret complex figures and numbers effortlessly. His contribution throughout the season was crucial - Buyang developed a fully customised "data platform" using Microsoft Power BI that has allowed the club to keep track of individual players' performances and compare the team's efficiency in different aspects of the game to the rest of the teams in the domestic league. All in all, Buyang's creativity and contribution was invaluable for the club.

Reliable | Accurate | Positive

Buyang Daffa was my employee as a varsity statistician with the UBC Thunderbirds through the 2024-25 school year. He has proven to be a very adept statistician and a great asset to the team. Buyang has been as reliable as any employee I have ever had, I can't ever recall him being late or missing a shift. He took on debatably our most challenging single role in learning to input highly detailed basketball stats in real-time and was able to execute this difficult, multi-faceted role with a high degree of accuracy after just a few training shifts. He brings a growth mindset to his work and takes constructive criticism extremely well, welcoming opportunities to improve. Last, but certainly not least, Buyang brings a glow of constant positivity to the team, often flashing an infectious smile that uplifts everyone around him.
